About Bang Bhasma
Bang Bhasma is beneficial in diseases of reproductive organs. It influences on ovaries and uterus in females and penile tissue, prostate gland, and testes in males. Bang Bhasma is a drug of choice for testicular diseases in ayurveda. It reduces inflammation of testicles and epididymis, so it is very useful in cases of orchitis and epididymitis. In these diseases, it is generally taken with Chandraprabha Vati.
Ingredients (Composition) of Bang Bhasma
Shuddha Bang (vang) or Purified Tin Metal is the main ingredient of the Bang Bhasma. It is also processed with several herbs and preparation method may be different according to the different classical texts.
Dosage of Bang Bhasma
125 – 250 mg once or twice a day before or after food or as directed by Ayurvedic doctor.It is traditionally administered along with Guduchi kashaya (Tinospora decoction), Guduchi Satva, Honey, Ghee, Turmeric.
